摘要
A novel kind of water patch antenna for conical beam application is designed and analyzed. The difference between this antenna design and traditional conical beam antenna design is that the pure water is utilized to serve as radiation patch instead of the metal patch. The pure water patch is excited by a disk-shaped probe to achieve wide bandwidth. The simulation and measurement are carried out and good results are achieved as well. The results show that an impedance matching of 39.5% for Sn <-10 dB with maximum gain up to 6.9 dBi, omnidirectional radiation patterns and small cross-polarizations are obtained.
