摘要
The inquiry of earthquake is introduced on science textbook of the Korea National Science Curriculum revised in 2009. There is earthquake introduced with natural phenomenon in the real word but isn't an introduction of secondary phenomenon generated by earthquake. Tsunami generated by various the causes of earthquakes in the past works great damage which is second to earthquake damage degree. So, it is necessary to teach tsunami, secondary phenomenon generated by earthquake to students. In this study, we developed the tsunami experimentation system as advanced teaching materials in order to show the earthquake phenomenon to student, directly. To visualize the tsunami, we made nearly 2D-wave basin, 1/8000 of actual size, in which we can make the tsunami likely to be generated by typhoon and earthquake. With the tsunami experimentation system, we showed the principle of tsunami and a physical phenomenon of wave.
