摘要
We numerically investigated optical Rabi oscillations of excitonic polarization in a quantum dot ensemble, taking into consideration the spatial distribution of both the excitation electric field and the coherent signal field. We show that the spatial distributions of the signal fields change drastically by increasing the pulse area for excitation pulses with a Gaussian spatial distribution. We found that the ensemble average of the signal intensity is affected by the size of the aperture located in front of the detector, depending on the spatial distribution of the signals on the detector.
