Integrated solutions in end-user terminals using filters based in acoustic wave technology where the device that preceded/succeed the filter is a non-50 Omega terminated circuit require an inter-stage matching network (MN). However, this MN can be avoided using a complex-terminated impedance filter to reduce losses and increase efficiency. In a carrier aggregation scheme, the solution can be extended to multifrequency scenario to design the block PA + M-plexer using co-design techniques. To simplify the design for multifrequency PAs, multiplexer theory and co-design techniques are exploited together in this paper to achieve a competitive solution. Following the guideline proposed in In the exact synthesis technique is applied for controlling the complex input impedance at the fundamental frequency of each channel. The multifrequency approach needs to accommodate the input phase phi(11) employing the same foundations used for phase-matching filters in duplexers/multiplexers.
