AN APPROACH OF TEST SUITE RANDOM GENERATION IN SOFTWARE TESTING

摘要
This paper proposed an approach of generating new test suites automatically based on existing test suite (a set of test case) for regression testing or stress testing, by changing the executing order of test cases automatically and increasing or decreasing the numbers of executing test case. In software stress testing, this method can generate a test suite automatically, which can run for a longer time and keep the rule that the more important test cases will run more times. In regression testing, this method generated the test cases of random order in a test suite and ensured to choose more important test cases for regression testing. Our experiments proved that the new test suite can run under the testing environment successfully and implement expanding or reducing the scope of testing as well as the time of testing for different testing goals efficaciously.
