摘要
In this paper, we derive the throughput of wireless communications when the source harvests energy using a solar panel. We compute the statistics of the Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) and that of the Signal to Interference plus Noise Ratio (SINR). For Rayleigh channels, the SNR is the product of a Gaussian random variable (r.v.) and an exponential r.v. For Nakagami channels, the SNR is the product of a Gaussian and a chisquare r.v. with 2P degrees of freedom. We consider the single-user case and then the multi-user case using Non Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA). Harvesting duration is also optimized to enhance the performance. We consider solar energy harvesting for Rayleigh and Nakagami channels.(c) 2022 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
