摘要
Acoustic phenomenon occur in many public spaces, both in buildings and open spaces. Generally, acoustic phenomenon is as a character of an area. It is one of the essential elements for forming a space or an urban area. The sound is a non-physical subject. It is less noticed in the planning process of an area, and usually, the most noticed thing is buildings and parks. This paper aims to illustrate the existence of an acoustic measurement method, and it is carried out simultaneously between quantitative and qualitative method. Several acoustics studies have been carried out by many researchers, and it uses only one approach, which is either a quantitative or qualitative method. Acoustic measurement with combined methods or namely mixed method will produce data and a thorough analysis process with concurrent triangulation. The response impulse measurement and the soundscape measurement obtain the sound pressure level (SPL) and background noise value, as well as the identification of the results of soundscape perceptions of the landscape component. Natural elements such as bird sounds, winds in trees, vegetation and water are the forming of an open space audial comfort. They can maintain the urban area or public open space and it can reveal the components of the acoustics preservation.
