Research on self-synchronization in network centric warfare simulation

摘要
Self-synchronization is a key concept that constitutes the theory of Network Centric Warfare/Operation (NCW/NCO). But only a brief discussion is available in the classic literature on NCW. Further analysis and extended discussion is made in this paper. Approaches to realize self-synchronization network (SSN) in modeling/simulation domain are introduced, including agent-based framework, domain-specified knowledge modeling and decision-support algorithm. A case was constructed to confirm the idea and evaluate the effectiveness of "self-synchronization". Simulation results reveal that self-synchronization has an advantage over other operational modes. At the end of paper, conclusions are drawn and expectation of future works is proposed.
