Structural, Magnetic and Microwave Absorption Characteristics of Ni0.5LixZn(0.5-x)Fe2O4 Nano-particles Prepared by Co-Precipitation Method

摘要
Synthesis of Ni0.5LixZn(0.5-x)Fe2O4 nano-particles were realized via co-precipitation method. X-ray diffractometer (XRD), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) and network analyzer measurements were performed on the samples to determine, respectively, the characteristics of the crystal structure, and the magnetic and microwave absorption properties of the samples. The XRD patterns showed that all the samples are of single phase spinel type ferrites without the presence of other phases. Patterns of decreasing lattice parameter and increasing crystallite size values were observed at increasing Li concentration. For the magnetic property, the saturation magnetization (M-s) was found to vary with increasing pattern at higher Li doping level. The microwave electromagnetic properties of the samples were studied at the frequency range of 8-15 GHz and the results showed the material has the potential to be an alternative microwave absorber. The results and mechanisms concerned are discussed.
