Time Banks and Knowledge Sharing: Link to the Knowledge Management

This paper aims to find a link between Time Banking and knowledge management. It uses mostly literature review as a methodology, because to the date, no connections between these topics are known to the author. Literature on knowledge management is compared with current research and literature about Time Banking. Findings show that first part of the link would be knowledge sharing. In knowledge management it is one of the essential elements as it is in Time Banking. The second part which connects topics are communities of practice and their function as it is described in literature on knowledge management corresponds with certain processes in Time Banks. In the conclusion a scheme, which illustrates this interconnection, is presented.
