摘要
Stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) in compressed H-2, D-2, HD, and CH4 gases excited by pulses of the second harmonic of radiation of a titanium-doped sapphire laser (390 nm) with duration of 300 fs and energy of up to 100 mu J is studied. The results of these studies offer promise for the use of SRS in compressed gases for the conversion of radiation of femtosecond pulses with the feasibility of choosing frequency shifts in the range from 150 to 4155 cm(-1). The analysis of SRS spectra shows that the self-action phenomena, which cause the depletion of effective power of pump radiation because of a manyfold broadening of its spectrum, are of substantial importance.
