摘要
Reduction of the environmental impacts of the individual transport segments is crucial with regard to air quality and population health. The main problem is a high level of nitrogen oxide emissions. There are some opinions that these emissions have a direct impact on the human health. Generally, a possible solution of this problem also offers application of the biofuels, i.e. fuels with the bio-component. Therefore, there was realized a scientific-research study focused on influence of the biofuels with regard to production of gaseous emissions in the case of diesel engine, which is used in ship transport. There were created various fuel mixtures with different content of the bio-component in order to investigate their emission characteristics. The measurements were carried out at different loading levels and with variable speed spectrum. The obtained results showed a considerable impact on the combustion process, on the heat release process, on time behaviour of the pressure and on the emission characteristics.
