摘要
Atrial fibrillation is one of the main risk factors to suffer a stroke. Therefore the detection of atrial fibrillation is one of the main tasks to avoid strokes. Atrial fibrillation is difficult to diagnose, since atrial fibrillation often occurs as paroxysmal episodes without any symptoms. For a screening method there is a need to detect atrial fibrillation in an interval without any atrial fibrillation episodes. For this purpose we developed an algorithm to classify atrial fibrillation with the use of the nonlinear method of symbolic dynamics.
