Two-phase nonlinear waves in the long Josephson junction

摘要
The electrodynamic properties of the long Josephson junction for the case of two-phase wave train are investigated by means of asymptotic solutions of the perturbed "sine-Gordon" equation in the form of the Whitham equations describing the modulation of its period matrix within the power balance approximation. The corresponding current-voltage characteristic is calculated in terms of Riemann theta-functions and analyzed numerically for the zero magnetic field. The resonance peaks of the characteristic are shown to correspond to the reduction condition for the period matrix. Copyright (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
