A study of data channel reservation protocol in a WDM single-hop network

摘要
In a WDM single-hop star network, a dynamic scheduling protocol which can efficiently transmit variable-sized messages without any global information has been proposed. In this paper an improved protocol though the dynnamic scheduling protocol is a simple one, the throughput characteristics are improvable a little. Then we propose a improved protocol and compare the performance of the proposed protocol with that of the original one by computer simulations. As the results, the performance based on the proposed protocol shows better than the original one.
