摘要
This paper starts by giving a brief overview of Jini and highlights the features that can be effectively used for distributed computing. Then it describes the implementations of two services for a distributed network using Jini technology that will be useful for distributed computing users: data transfer service, guidance service. The purpose of data transfer service is to enable users to transfer their data between the client and the server. The purpose of guidance service is to help the client to figure out where they are, and help them to find the shortest route to their destination. The paper ends by showing how to produce a secure Jini application without significantly reducing either functionality or flexibility.
