摘要
The social role of museums is the result of the political and social changes in the West. This article discusses how the social role of museums is interpreted in non-western societies such as Syria. It will evaluate the relationship between museums and the Syrian people in the light of the socio-political circumstances that produced museums and the governmental policies in relation to them.
