摘要
The paper describes the design of the device for axial rotor loading in the experimental rig for studying fluid-film bearings. The device allows applying the controllable force to the rotor and is able to create arbitrary load patterns unlike the passive loading devices that are limited by only one or several types of the created load. The paper shows the structure of the test ring in general and the way of how the designed load device is integrated into it. The controlled force in the device is created by the proportional electromagnetic drive. The required parameters of the drive are based on the parameters of the test rig and bearings being tested on it, such as film thickness, load capacity, rotation speed. The appropriate electromagnetic drive has been chosen taking into account its force-stroke characteristic. The resulting lever-drive system provides covering the whole range of the required loads in the test rig. The paper also described how the drive is integrated into the informational and measurement system of the test rig.
