摘要
In this paper, the coexistence between a cognitive radio and a licensed user in order to enhance the spectrum efficiency usage is investigated. It is presented the performance analysis of energy detection-based spectrum sensing over a generalized fading channel, modeled by the kappa-mu distribution. For this purpose, it is take into account the location information and the distance between the cognitive radio and the secondary receiver. The receiver operation characteristics (ROC) and the probability of interference under several different fading environments are then obtained, with combining both multi path clusters and line-of-sight scenarios. Moreover, the improvement in detection capability is evaluated when cooperative spectrum schemes are employed under such fading environments. It is also shown the effect of distance on the probability of the cognitive radio interferes in primary communication. Finally, a great flexibility in spectrum sensing techniques is found when their formulations consider the use of the kappa-mu distribution.
