Dispersion controlling and polarization maintaining in a modified hexagonal photonic crystal fiber

摘要
This paper presents a polarization maintaining modified hexagonal photonic crystal fiber (M-BPCF) with nearly zero ultra-flattened dispersion of 0 +/- 0.35 ps/ (nm-km) in the wavelength range between 1.397 mu m and 1.675 mu m, possessing extremely low confinement losses and bireffingence of about 7.5 x 10(-4) at lambda=1.55 mu m.
