New functionalized poly(imides)

摘要
New diamines, 4,4'-dibromo-3,3'-diaminobenzyl and 4,4'-diiodo-3,3'-diaminobenzophenone were prepared by the reaction of chloral with a twofold molar amount of bromobenzene and iodobenzene with the subsequent transformation of the reaction products. The interaction of these diamines with dianhydride of 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoro-2,2-bis(3,4-dicarboxyphenyl)propane yielded new functionalized amorphous poly(imides) that show good solubility in DMF N-methylpyrrolidone, DMSO, m-cresol, chloroform, and THF. The T-g values of poly(imides) vary from 295 to 340 degreesC, and temperatures corresponding to 10% weight loss fall within the 500-510 and 520-530 degreesC intervals (in air and argon, respectively). When cast from solutions, poly(imides) form films whose tensile strength, elasticity modulus, and elongation at break are in the 81.9-88.7 MPa, 2.58-2.87 GPa, and 4.0-4.5% ranges, respectively.
