摘要
We report on soliton formation in laserwritten two-dimensional binary waveguide lattices. Even for small index contrasts between the sublattices, soliton intensity profiles and power thresholds strongly depend on whether "deep" or "shallow" channels are excited. (C) 2009 Optical Society of America
