摘要
Links growing numbers of social orphans to economic instability and changing social structure of the society. Her own study demonstrates that in Russian society today coexist ambiguous stereotypes regarding social orphans with the resulting practices of delegating responsibilities for such children mainly to the state. Residing at a closed establishment like present day Russian orphanage amounts to exclusion from societal life thus limiting acquisition of social experiences on the part of children only to serve in the future as a source of various problems in the course of adaptation in a society. Disabled children fare the worst, at that, suffering, in fact, from. two-fold discrimination.
