In-Situ Generation of CdSe Nanorods in PVA Matrix

摘要
Nanocomposites of Cadmium selenide in Poly (vinyl alcohol) [PVA] has been successfully prepared at room temperature via a simple one-step solution growth technique. X-Ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) has been used to characterize the final products. The TEM result shows that the CdSe nanorods are well dispersed in the polymer matrix and uniform in shape. Optical Characterization has been done on thin film and the parameters like absorption coefficient (alpha) and bandgap (E-g) has been calculated.
