Problem-Based Learning (PBL) teaching approach is a student-focused course design. It promotes the students' ability of knowledge application, independent study, and learning motivation. In addition, it develops the ability of team collaboration to analyze and solve complicate problems. Phamacology is an important course for clinical medicine- and pharmacy-majored students, which connects the basic medicine, pharmacy with clinical medicine. Application of PBL teaching approach in pharmacology course can improve the teaching quality and effectiveness, and ultimately achieve the goal of the relevant professional talent training. In the process of application, we should keep in mind the basic characteristics of PBL and set reasonable and typical problems. Effective organization and scientific evaluation should be emphasized to achieve the best goal.
