摘要
Bistatic Inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) offers the advantages to overcome the limitations of monostatic ISAR with separated bistatic sites. However, the spatial separation results in a special requirement of the reduction of phase error between the bistatic sites. In this paper, the impact of phase error on bistatic ISAR is analysed briefly, and a phase synchronization technique via a long round-trip fiber optic link (FOL) is present. The phase errors in the FOL synchronization experiment were used to simulate a bistatic ISAR imaging. The simulation results show that the FOL synchronization technique can be used as a potential synchronization method due to its effective phase error cancellation.
