Preparation of Cationic Fluorinated Polyurethane Micro-emulsion and its Application in Leather Finishing

摘要
A waterborne cationic fluorinated polyurethane (WCFPU) was prepared by the reaction of isophorone isocyanate (IPDI), polyether polyol (PTMG1000), N methyldiethanolamine (MDEA) trimethylol propane (TMP) and 2-(perfluorooctyl) ethyl alcohol (FEOH), and then was used in leather finishing Their structure, morphology, surface property thermal performance and chemical resistance were characterized by fourier transform infared spectrometer (FT-IR), light scattering (LS), transmission electron microscope (TEM), interfacial tension instrument(IT) contact angle (CA), differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) thermogravimetry (TG) and spot test The results reveal that WCFPU was endowed with low surface tension of its micro-emulsion and low surface energy of its film which was beneficial to the properties of coating DSC and TG diagrams also revealed that the application range of product was enlarged It was also found that the fluorinated polyurethane had outstanding chemical resistance Furthermore, it was found that the WCFPU micro-emulsion was a good finishing agent, endowing leather with water and oil resistance, natural brightness, softness embonpoint and moist surface, and thus evidently improved the quality of leather
