Isolation, characterization and properties of Spirulina glycoprotein

摘要
A glycoprotein was isolated from Chinese spirulina. Purification of this glycoprotein was accomplished by foam in a loop bubble column and gel chromatography on Sephacryl S-100, The homogeneity of this glycoprotein was proven by gel filtration on Sephadex G-200 and SDS-PAGE. The molecular weight of the glycoprotein was 130 000. Characterization of this glycoprotein by IR analysis showed the typical absorption of polysaccharide and indicated the presence of alpha-glycoside linkage, beta-Elimination reaction demonstrated the existence of O-glycosidic linkage in this spirulina glycoprotein.
