The Study of Moral Hazard Issues Involved in Horizontal Technological Diffusion and Vertical Transfer

Technology transfer can be divided into horizontal diffusion and vertical transfer. The efficiency of technology transfer is affected by the efforts made by the research institutes and the cooperation on the part of the technology purchaser. The asymmetric information, such as factors of production inputs from the two sides in the process of technology transfer, can leads to moral hazards. Based on game theory, it constructs game model of moral hazards, and on the principal-agent theory, this study constructs the moral hazard model of research institutes vertically. Through mechanism research and combining with complementary assets, solution to the risk of moral hazard is put forward.
