Anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery has become a common operation performed on athletic patients. Despite the high success rate, a significant number require revision, which is a more difficult operation. This article reviews many of the reasons for ACL reconstruction failure and suggests that there are many options for revision that should work.
