摘要：
Purpose Making rat's model of arteriosclerosis (AS) for observing the effect of tea polyphenol on rats with AS. Methods Wistar rats were randomly divided into normal control group (NC group), AS group, tea polyphenol high dose group (TP1 group, 0.4g/kg), and tea polyphenol low dose group (TP2 group, 0.2g/kg). At the end of the 9th week experiment, test the level of blood lipid and ability of anti-oxidant. Results Compared with AS group, serum contents of TC, TG, LDL-C were lower (P < 0.05) and HDL-C were higher (P < 0.05) and the activities of SOD were higher (P < 0.05) and the content of MDA was lower (P < 0.05) in TP1 group and TP2 group. Conclusions Tea polyphenol can clear oxygen free radicals in AS.
