Multiplex bus system for sensors and actuators in automotive A/C systems

Also in connection with air-conditioning in motor vehicles, there has been no let-up in the trend to enhancing the comfort of driver and passengers. As a consequence, there has been a steady increase in the number of air-conditioning systems with fully automatic regulation. This has gone hand-in-hand with an increase in the outlay for actuators, sensors and control systems. The following paper describes how, in the field of actuating mechanisms, by conceiving a suitable bus system and integrating functionality in actuators or even the sensors themselves, a cost-effective installation can be implemented meeting in full the requirements of such a system.
