Studies on the separation of silver(I) microquantities from macroquantities of salts of other elements on selective ion-exchangers

摘要
Studies on the applicability of selective ion-exchangers in the removal of silver(I) from solutions of copper(II), zinc(II), iron(III), ammonium nitrate salts, the mixture of NH4NO3 + HNO3, nitric acid, sulphuric acid and ammonia by frontal analysis were carried out. The best results were obtained for purification of copper(II) and zinc(II) salts on the ion-exchanger Duolite ES-465 (functional thiol group) and Lewatit TP-214 (with the functional thiourea group). A decrease in the silver(I) content below 10(-4)-10(-5)% was obtained in the process of purification of these salts in macroquantities. Moreover, these ion-exchangers possess great ion-exchange capacity in relation to silver and high resistance to mineral acids.
