Relating visual hull and tactile probing capabilities

摘要
The visual hull is a geometric tool that connects the shape of an object to its silhouettes or shadows. Geometric probing takes into account the problem of connecting shapes to probes. In this article we show that the two problems can be related and that the visual hull concept can be also used to understand how precisely a shape can be determined using tactile geometric probing techniques.
