Polymer modification of mineral surface using peroxide-containing oligomers

摘要
Novel amineperoxide oligomers have been developed and used as initiator of free radical polymerization of vinyl monomers and as reactive activator of the interface of solid dispersed phase. The synthesized oligomer peroxide exhibits a particularly high affinity towards solid mineral surfaces and is characterized by low activation energy of decomposition, Polymerization has been studied through a systematic variation of reaction parameters under heterophase and homophase conditions. Diffusion and steric control of chain-transfer and termination reactions have been deemed to be the main reasons for the rise in polymer molecular weight with conversion observed upon initiation by the multifunctional oligomer.
