摘要:
Those who simultaneously consume nicotine and alcohol are at greater risk of contracting illnesses such as cancer of the oesophagus, oral cavity, larynx, cavity of the pharynx, head, throat, liver cells and the bladder. The rate of gastrointestinal inflammation is also increased. The simultaneous consumption of nicotine and alcohol increases the levels of lead in the blood and of ethyl nitrite in the respiratory air and reduces the carotene content in the blood. A simultaneous and high consumption of both nicotine and alcohol also gives rise to a considerable increase in coronary mortality rates and general mortality rates. As it is easier for a smoker to give up alcohol rather than giving up smoking, the choice is made in favour of alcohol-free beer in order to keep the combined effects of nicotine and alcohol as low as possible.
