The Exploration and Practice on Teaching in the Introduction to "Data Structures"

Ills widely acknowledged that it is very difficult for students to learn Data Structures well and also difficult for teachers to present it clearly to students. Starting from analyzing the problems teacher meet with in teaching, the teaching aims and contents are discussed in the introductory chapter in terms of how to understand the importance of Data Structures, the relationship and differences between Data Structures and preliminary courses, the analysis of the fundamental theories, the organization of the course and learning methods. The well-designed teaching of the introductory chapter enables students to have a comprehensive understanding of the course, and makes them pay much attention to it and have a clear aim at studying this course, thus paving the way for the students to realize the transformation from fundamental courses to the study of professional course.
