DC supplied electronic ballasts with fluorescent lamps for photovoltaic applications

摘要
The world-wide increasing use of photovoltaic (PV) systems for supplying electricity, requires the development of suitable DC high frequency ballasts for FL. Many DC ballast show problems that reduce the performance of lights for PV systems. In this work we present the result of measurements of luminous flux, luminous efficiency, lamp power consumption, luminous efficacy, lumen maintenance, durability, waveshape and effect of the batteries state of charge for 22 models (four samples per, model) of PV lights with FL and DC ballast. Our purpose with this paper is to supply technical information that to our knowledge has not been commonly available for the moment in the field of the lighting engineering.
