摘要
In a complete paired comparison 64 participants rated different variants of logical pictures with regard to their appropriateness to represent certain logical relations. The logical relations (e.g. class-inclusion) were expressed in sentences like 'Firs and spruces are trees. Trees are plants'. Each logical relation was expressed in two different sentences in order to test effects of the text surface. A conjoint analysis shows that certain types of visualization are preferred widely independent from the type of logical relation they represent. The surface structure of the sentences has also an impact on the preferences for certain logical pictures. The results were discussed with regard to their practical implications for the use of logical pictures.
