Studies on anhydroicaritin by electrospray ionization multi-stage tandem mass spectrometry

摘要
It becomes very important to identify rapidly and accurately the structure of aglycone of icariin, because more and more people began to study biological activity of icariin in recent years. In this paper, electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) in both the positive and the negative ion modes has been used to analyze anhydroicaritin. The results show that its sensitivity is higher in the negative ion mode than that in the positive one. It has been described that the collision-induced dissociation fragmentation pathways are different in the positive and the negative ion mode.
