Characteristic time scales and energy transfer in MHD turbulence

摘要：
Statistical properties of MHD turbulence are studied by GOY-type shell models and direct numerical simulation. We introduce the Alfven effect with randomized coherent magnetic field into the shell model. It leads to k(-3/2) spectrum and is consistent with Iroshnikov-Kraichnan picture of MHD turbulence. The PDF's of shell models are compared with those of wavelet coefficients obtained from DNS data.
