摘要
Dropout represents a frequent phenomenon in Romanian's Educational System. This phenomenon it's determined by a series of psychological and socio-demographic variables. This study aims on the validation on Romanian population of the scales that measure some psychological variables that cause dropout. Therefore, we reveal the role of motivation (motivational persistence, self determination motivation), of self-esteem, of perceived competence, of teacher and parent autonomy support and of school performance on the student's intention to dropout. In addition, there are mentioned the relationships between subjects, considering the socio-demographic variables (age, gender, studies level, studies profile).
