The Survey and Analyses on the Design Elements of Bra according to College Girls' Consumption

College girls are a special consumption group that plays a critical role in the underclothes market. Therefore, designers should pay more attention to their needs in bra design. In this study, questionnaires and field interviews were conducted to analyze the design features of bras that girls need and the shortcomings of the available designs at present. It was discovered that girls in the Fuzhou area have small breasts; their bra sizes are mainly 70A and 70B. Their bras are typically made with steel rings and detachable shoulder belt and are 3/4 cup made of mostly cotton. The colors are oriented around practicality and can match with clothes due to the availability of different colors. At present there are problems with fitness and comfort in the bra market. The research result can give some suggestions on the design for underwear enterprises and help them develop the bra market of college girls in the Fuzhou area.
