摘要
Accreditation is a voluntary undertaking among Higher Education Institutions (HEI) s which focuses on assessment and evaluation of programs for continuing improvement of educational quality. It is a process by which an institution voluntary subjects its program for review from an independent organization that sets criteria and procedures and seeks judgement to confirm that it achieves its objectives and is substantially equal in quality to comparable institutions. Each accrediting body has its own accrediting standards and instruments resulting to non-uniformity in recognizing level of quality of engineering programs among HEIs. Certification on the level of accreditation among accrediting agencies needs recalibration to ensure equivalency on the quality assurance level of engineering programs. A comparative analysis of the Electronics Engineering Program between private and public HEIs on level of accreditation, performance in licensure examination and other quality assurance metrics were made to determine the relationship between program quality assurance and program performance.
