The layered structure of currents and the vertical exchange in the Black Sea

摘要
The results of experimental research of currents and vertical hydrologic structure in the Black Sea are considered. It is shown, that the vertical structure of currents has a well expressed layered structure, connected with termochaline stratification. In many cases an Undercurrent is observed on the depths 100 - 300 m under the Main Blacksea Current. The estimations of the coefficient of vertical exchange, agree with the values obtained by other methods. On the basis of correlation between vertical gradients of currents and density a relatively simple relation for the coefficient of vertical exchange is suggested.
