Enterprise inter- and intra-organisational integration

Enterprise integration has become even more important through the needs of inter-organisational collaborations in the area of e-commerce. Only if the different business processes and their models used in a B2B application can sufficiently inter-operate will the participating organisations be able to exploit short term market opportunities and reap their benefits. The paper identifies barriers still existing in the user domain and benefits of the use of ITC as well as needed technology advancements.
