Constitutional and legal basis of social control in the Russian Federation

The reviewed book presents the legal basis of social control in the Russian Federation. The author discusses the legal grounds and forms of its realization. For this purpose, he uses the research methods characteristic of constitutional law, the theory of state and law, political science, philosophy and economy. The author proves that developing a system of realizing social control creates possibilities of lowering social tension and strengthening importance of the organs of public authority in the conditions of progressive globalization. He also describes the dangers of social control. It can be replaced by pseudo-social organizations, with no significant relation to the will of large social groups. These organizations are established by organs of public authority either directly or with their participation. Therefore, instead of the proclaimed social control, self-control of the organs of public authority takes place under the guise of social control.
