摘要
A novel Zr73.5Nb9Cu7Ni1Al9.5 composite consisting of dendrites in a nanocrystalline/amorphous matrix was developed. Room temperature compression tests reveal an unusual combination of high strength (1740 MPa) and ductility (4.0-17.5% strain to failure), which sensitively depends on bimodal size distribution of the phases and the casting technique employed.
