摘要
The 1970s are often interpreted as a period of socio-economic crises caused in part by structural economic changes and globalization. This article suggests a different perspective on the synergies of crises and globalization, which also led to a new boom in many fields. This is exemplified for three fields, where crises are often discussed: everyday life and consumer culture, film and media in general and the role of churches and religion. Generally, the discrepancy between the discourse on crisis and the practices of the majority of the population is stressed here. We should reconsider the construction of new knowledge about the global "limits of growth" in the 1970s in light of the fact that this knowledge only had a marginal impact in many respects.
