摘要
This study had the aim of analyzing, from the managers' perspective, the environmental management practices adopted by agribusiness Alfa's partner companies, situated in southern Brazil. These partners are also called suppliers or outsourced companies. This agribusiness exports to about 110 countries. It is one of the largest private employers in the country with approximately 114 thousand employees. The study was conducted in only one industrial unit. The six suppliers that provided the largest amount of service to this unit in the last working year were selected. The main practices in the companies evaluated are related to solid waste management. Only two of the companies studied have appropriate standardised management for the waste generated in their processes. Likewise, only one company has positive practices related to water resources. Therefore, Alfa's role is essential in the induction of the Green Management into the supply chain. (C) 2017 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
